  It's a real shame because both the food and the atmosphere at this place used to be great. There was no atmosphere whatsoever. Even when we walked out, I watched the same waitress throw the meals onto another table with a scowl. Not one person who worked there smiled. We won't be back and by the looks of it, not too many other people will be either.

  All I can say is 'wow' - in a negative way. We used to enjoy coming here for lunch and dinner frequently when we lived in the Bay, so we were looking forward to re-visiting. As soon as we walked in, you could tell the vibe had completely changed. The menu was basic and printed off on a sheet of A4 paper - not the larger menu as displayed on their website - and offered a limited choice. When the meals arrived, the waitress offered no smile and basically threw our meals onto the table. My partner and I both looked at each other in shock. The food was terrible. My partner ordered the prawn salad - literally lettuce leaves with thawed-out prawns on top. Nothing else at all. I ordered the garlic prawns which was barely luke warm. We both (mistakenly) presumed the prawns would be fresh - they weren't. It was probably the worst meals we've ever had at a restaurant. It was very quiet for a weekend night - I now know why.

  The best pub in Hervey Bay! Great food, great beer & fantastic outlook! Highly recommended!

  As shift workers ,my husband and I value that the Bayswater serves good meals all day long. The staff are friendly and the view of the bay calming and beautiful.
